Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide (7 amino acids; MW ≈ 813.9 Da) developed through academic research at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It is structurally derived from the ACTH 4-7 fragment with a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro extension. It is intended strictly for laboratory and research purposes.
